
I invited Adam from Pinkoddy to make these with me at the YouTube Space London and I think he did a fabulous job! We have LOTS of fabulously Easy Origami for Beginners, I would say these are for either older kids or slightly the next level up! They are still easy, but there is ONE tricky bit… so maybe a little adult support is required. Right? So this Origami Ninja Star or Origami Shuriken as it is also known, is a fantastic Paper Craft for kids getting to grips with Origami Basics. Well, when it comes to crafts, I rather have TOO many crafts to share with you, than to few. then turned them into Ninja Star Fidget spinners (which went down a treat!!! Yay!) but never managed to share them with you “separately”… there is a slight disconnect between what we are making over on YouTube and sharing in on Red Ted Art! There is just SO MUCH to do and share. If you are familiar with our other DIY Fidget Spinners without bearings, you will be familiar with the “no bearing” mechanism that keep your fidget spinners spinning…. Turn your Origami Ninja Star into a DIY Paper Fidget Spinner! Just take your time, rewind the video if you need to and persevere! You will know which one I mean, as I outline it in the video. All it needed was the Fidget Spinner no bearing mechanism – a super easy and simple way to make your Ninja Star spin. I then realised that it would make a Ninja Star Fidget Spinner too. I had invited him (and some more of my Red Ted Art YouTube viewers) along for a crafty session at YouTube and we decided that some paper Ninja Stars would be a fun challenge to make.


This Fidget Spinner idea came about, after I made an Origami Ninja Star with the lovely Adam – from Pink Oddy. Our favourite homemade fidget spinner is still the Tri Fidget Spinner DIY with templates that we shared last, BUT we it is quickly being rivalled by this Ninja Fidget Spinner DIY we have for you today. As it turns out there are many was of how to make a fidget spinners without bearings AND with… as we shared in our Fidget Spinner DIY collection (our simplest Fidget Spinner DIY is here). So, we have most DEFINITELY been having fun with our Fidget Spinner DIY these past 2-3 weeks and though my kids have the “real deal”, we can’t get enough of the homemade Fidget Spinner DIYs either.
